Poetry?
Yes I read it, I paraphrase it -

But, I don't look at poetry
through pitched fork eyes -

There's nothing here
to fear -

Poetry?
It's not a beast about to strike
at the slightest flinch -

Though I believe that poetry
must have sharp teeth
to give bite to each verse
that's written -

If not for teeth, poetry doesn't exist -

It must speak of literal substance
and relevance -

Poetry?
Who's to know for sure
what's in the mind of a poet -

It's the mystery of the muse
that attracts bees to honey
that where a poem live's

It's not the rhyme, it's the rhythm
of the rhyme -

It's not the water, It's the flow
of the water -

Flip a coin, You say heads
I say Tails - who's to know for sure-

That's what poetry is to me,
a journey of mystery like
the ocean, where sharks
in all their glory lives -

Poetry?
Yes, I read it - I paraphrase
it -

But, I don't look at poetry
through pitched fork eyes -

It flows softly upon a rugged river
at times it falls from the sky
light as a feather-

Poetry?
Yes,
I read it -
