what is it you will take from the table
and what exactly have you ever brought
maybe fact or fiction, truth or fable
maybe you could try to write from your soul
but only if you’re willing and able
will you try and help others, what’s your goal
could you ever share the poetry soup
or will you simply just fill your own bowl
