Poetic Truce
For some reason I love you..
I wish I knew the reason why.
Staying angry is impossible..
Even though I try and try.
But you need to give me something..
Anything to acknowledge you care.
I want us to be the way we once were..
I need you to show me that your there.
Over time you've become my best friend..
So I need you to have my back.
But you've yet to rise to the occasion.
That's just one huge face slap.
Loyalty to me is important..
And you tremble on fragile ground.
And honesty to me is priority..
And youve lied alot as I've found.
So start trying to be loyal for once..
Give me a reason to stay your friend.
Because I'm starting to lose faith..
I really don't want "us" to end.
I can't imagine my life without you..
Your the Ying to match my Yang.
Though we are different, we have a uniqueness..
That most couldn't even start to understand.
So just know that I am sorry..
I know I give you a hard time.
It's purely out of frustration..
That's why I'm writing you this rhyme!
