Notes About The Poem

This is a parody of the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America. I intentionally stayed close to the form.  

Poetic Preamble

We the nouns of this here poem,
in order to excite the senses of the reader,
establish verbs for action,
promote adjectives for color,
and secure the excitement of interjections
to our pronouns and to our adverbs,
do ordain and establish
this here document
for the readers of these words.
