Poetic justice
I went to your retirement.
I needed to be there.
You had deliberately made my life miserable.
Still I thought I needed to attend.
I had mixed feelings inside.
Some would say 'unresolved issues'.
Saw for myself how you were despised.
I closed the loop on that chapter.
It was like watching karma in action:
What goes around comes around.
