To leaven my load
I express in code
The pain that I feel
Still, nobody knows
To pass the time
I make it rhyme
Still, no one hears
The bottom line
It sounds so clear
To my, partial ears
Still others twist
The words they hear
It’s hard to heal
And learn to deal
When no one sees
The part that’s real
