Poetic Depression

When you are at that point in life where you are ready to give up. You are mentally and emotionally exhausted. You are falling to pieces and all you can do is put on that fake smile and pretend things are okay. Because even though it should be about you, it’s not, there are other people depending on you. Everyone looks at you and sees someone who is strong and can handle anything. But all you see are the walls slowly coming down around you, waiting for them to collapse and suffocate you. You pick up the pieces, slowly rebuild that wall, and wait for the next collapse. That’s when you know you are truly damaged and broken.
