Poetess of Trying Times
This poetess writes poems of few words,
till the last line she holds the rhythmic cards,
where the essence of her poems unfolds
the tale of the heart that needs to be told.
The patina of finesse of an artist
that on her mind’s canvas exists,
shines in the words her poems display,
carries the meaning of what she has to say.
Life is so complex, “but I love simplicity”,
that’s how she’d “hold on to dreams” pretty
to express what she thinks for she isn’t afraid,
doesn’t hesitate to call spade a spade.
Her verses that rhyme or don’t rhyme
make her a poetess sensitive to our trying times,
its travails her muse let us understand,
conveyed through the poetry of Heidi Sands.
