Poet To Poet

One poet cannot judge another poet
For a poet’s thoughts are free art
To be appreciated by those who understand
Or who are willing to accept.
We are to rate, to inspire, to assist,
But to judge is criminal.
Poets lead there lives in today’s world
And count on inked expressions
As a safe outlet
Releasing inhibitions anonymously
Without regrets.

When you click that title,
When finally exposed to the art
Within the frame,
Cast not judgment on the artist
For thou shall not judge
Lest ye be judged.
Look upon the words as paint.
Look upon the story as a subject.
Interpret the poem,
Judge not the author.
