Poet Problems
Poems dance through my head, chanting,
"You can't catch me!"
Thoughts that yearn to form into words
Chase to no avail.
Poems that I can't write
Stick to the cracks in my brain like an
Annoying catchy song.
Words
Erased, replaces, rewrote,
Echo down the page.
My hand sits, restless.
Ready to catch any drift
Of a poem.
My head pounds full for could be poems.
Good in my head, yet ruined
By my hand.
Distractions suck the ideas out of me
Like word hungry vampires.
School bells burst through my perfect poem bubble
And I sigh,
"Dang lost another one."
