Poet Alone

Words cascading in my head
Dreams and illusions of drastic change
No one to hear my revelations
No one to feel my pain

My words seem to have no sound
When thoughts leave my mouth they fall to the ground
Pumped up by those who pretend to listen
When the show is on their the only ones missing

I began to belive that my poetry is invane
At the same time beliving I'm insane
Attacking my own words of insight
Like a ball and chain swinging from a renegade crane

My once public writings become my personal diary
My friends all lied to me
No one here to support my dreams
Alone in the battle is what it seems

Very deep and touching, really liked the poem, especially using a strong literary structure and rhyme in a free verse, it helps to convey a sense of flowing most free verse dont have, anyways great poem and dont ever think your poetry is in vain or that your alone; if anything its for your own sanity and well being.
