Poe's Pen and Liquid

.

           And there sat Edgar Allan
                his pen dabbing on

             poe’s mane converged
                      his profile

                     Not an eye
                     not a wink
                         save
                    refill please
as he leans to his paper
                 to indite with wit

          All chatter with intelligent
                    consideration
             but pause at moments
                    to watch Poe
                though the souse
                    inscribe with

                    perpetual ink
