Poem In Black and White

Its my umbrella I would shake out the rain leave it upside down on the porch I carried it like a torch and the rain never washed it out And when I was about in the rain I would use it as a cain Always wore my boots withmy umbrella Always had a newspaper in my arm with my umbrella Then in a flash of thunder you walked away in the rain dots on your face your stilletos splashed you were walking on water I was chasing after you like Mary Poppins I found a cab to avoid the rain and I never saw my umbrella again You walk through soft mirrors You blend in You take off your coat she said nothing about the weather The hostess cold and darting eyes I shall remove your coat You will walk through the soft mirrors.

This seems like narrative verse, so I am going to look up dramatic verse, as I did not even know it a category, Denis. It sounds like you have stolen the show with this dramatic verse. I found a cab to avoid the rain; fun! I was chasing after you like Mary Poppins; even more fun. Great!
