Poem for the Words I Wish were Spoken

I know that you think
children are resilient
they are not.
Trees are resilient,
children are not trees,
neither are you and me.

I need to teach them resilience,
Through closure, today.

Let me say goodbye.
You never gave me the chance,
when I resigned.

Yes. And for younger kids, the sharing of pictures they've made. My daughter is currently very sick, and her son's classroom kindy teacher sent her a poster home with a drawing from each child. It was very precious.
