Poem For the Ages

Will any of my poems outlive me?
If so will it be one that I liked?
Sad to think the one that survives is a bad one
I stare at my poems wondering
Which one will survive me?
If any?

As long as they are circulating somewhere and people are reading them, they will accompany you throughout eternity. So there!

I have a feeling one or two might "make it".

You have voiced a question that many of us wonder about, Caren....sadly enough, for most of us the answer will be that our poetry will probably die with us unless, by some stroke of fortune, we happen to attract the attention of someone influential in the publishing business who may not be solely concerned with profit and who sees some merit in our work. Of course, the probability of that happening is quite remote, but "hope springs eternal," lol (I applaud your bold question!)
