Poem For My Sister

With Love from me to You Joanne my Sister

She's only little
With nerves still brittle
Angel's scarred by the night
Nervously awaiting the Heaven's to ignite
Tiny feet scurry the Hall
To find Daddy's been waiting
with a kiss and a cuddle
and the protection she's craving
He draws back the curtain's
and open's the show
For Father and Daughter to bath in its glow
Thunder and Lightning dance through night
As he watches her fear turn to delight
Its the real deal the birthing feel
A father's love for his daughter
Sketched in her memory
One day to recall
How that little girl had it all
