Poem 13, Sober Clean Saturday Night
Spending time getting
know each other
Celebrating us tonight
With dinner, music
Laughter and light
Building hope for toorrow
Leaving behind so much sorrow
Growing from seedlings into flowers
Giving thanks to heavenly Powers
Together at last with a love that is pure
Leaving behind substances that only obscure
Here’s to you my strong handsome friend
