Pnoy

A new hope arose
To save us from woes
Bad one was gone
No laments, none
It's time to be up on our toes.

He has so much to do
Clean up muck, dirt, poo
That the bad left behind
When they robbed the poor blind
Gotta start, no ado.

So we're cheering him on
And pray the job gets done
But our cheering falls short
If we don't give support
Till the battle is won.

Cheering along with you, Ely :)! Happy to see another Pinoy on board over here-- and I hope you'll enjoy Poetry Soup as much as I do (gotta warn you, this site is very addictive!) --really enjoyed how much hope you put in here and yet you also mention of how we also must do our share in making our country move forward-- we have been stagnant far too long-- it's time we wake up-- PNoy definitely has his hands full but we can definitely do our part--nikko :)

Thank you so much for the kind comments, Dr. Ram, Linda-Marie, and Anthony. I chanced upon poetrysoup yesterday and thought I need to go back to my poetry-writing roots from so many years ago! I have a lot of poetry-reading to do ahead! :-) God bless.
