Please, No More

A gloomy spirit took life, it wondered the city walls
A sad day it was, cloudy and dark resentful of history it dragged on very slow
Echoes stirred the hearts of men, for they paid audience to the spirits calls
In wonder, asking of the noises that seemed to call from down below

Purple, it almost seemed black, a portrait painted by Alley where the moon took to her feet
"Midnight dance" she called it. Two spirits in love danced the night away
It sat by the window, calling all eyes to pay tribute to the beauty that spoke out right away
The colors made love, and love again was the offspring, a never ending cycle in its own retreat

I stared out into the open field
Slowly pausing to the calls again from down under
Bright flashes of lighting painted the scars of the skies, followed by the earths roar, thunder
All life paid a steady but firmly yield

Music began to take to the air, and its target was my heart
A gentle, soothing tune took life
It took me from a stroll to memory lane of then where I was once consumed by strife
All the way to my foremost recall of my life being torn apart

The melody became a tearless cry
Gentle sad strokes made the guitar weep its own heart out
Love sat to my side, it too held strong for it feared it would die
I held it tight with the grasp of a bear, I did trust! And not a doubt

Her gentle tones made way to my soul
A feeling of sorrow made its way to the top of my being
Before I could realize I was tasting my own tears bitter taste of coal
In question of why the guitar took a life of its own, stoked at what I was seeing

Falling to my knees, I began to pray
Again I was restored for all that believe in Him are made a new
I wept to the guitars cries, for music her self is so beautiful in every way
I fell to my face, drowing in my own tears, I begged the instrument"please no more"
