Please No
A wail echos into the night.
The sound of pure agony inbedded fright
Stumbling from tears that block sight
The wind stirs nothing feels quite right.
You become dead still and listen intensely
Who is this whats the cause of such agony
Listening silently
Another long heart wrenching cry breaks through violently
This time followed by gasping sobs
Your tears well up your nose starts to gob
What could cause this pain my God
Like someone was gauged over and over by a steel rod
The next wail came out stretching into two words
Myyyyyyy Babyyyy!!
There it was finally..
The reason aged and old as time family.
She must had lost a child you ponder rationally.
You get up and follow the sobs gradually
Then you see her she is bent over on the ground her frame shaking as she weeps silently.
A man approaches unexpectedly
Tried to hand her something that i can not see.
Shaking her head no but gives in eventually.
Taking it and pulling a syringe out prepares a shot
You can almost hear the devil sing this one I've got this ones soul is bought.
Suddenly you hear a gun shot
And watch as the man falls right there in that spot.
Quickly you gaze goes to her
Her spirit slumped and unsure
She looks at the syringe a lump forms in your throat.
You have no,way to stop the pain no antidote
You know she will hurt. But if there's a chance no,matter how remote. You step from the foliage and into her night.
She turns to you gone is the fight. You pray your steps don't waver that you are right.
As you approach she doesn't see you. You we've no response. Then she looks up into the small beam of light.
It's your mother her eyes swollen and red.
Her wrists cut you see where they bled
But but this must mean..
I'm dead?
You hear her voice and she's talking to you.
She says she knows she failed you but it's something she can't undo.
She takes a deep breath then as it on cue.
She looks you dead in the eye like she use to always do.
And says I never wanted you to be me I just wanted you. She drops the needle and goes to the edge of the forest where the sky meets the cliff.
She tell God she loves Him and her baby she is so sorry but now she will join her in death. She takes that one step before I could reach. She never omitted a sound not a screech as her body flew down to the ground so far beneath. A sickening thud and then a release. My eye pop open as I realize I was asleep. I frantically check and she's sound asleep. My heart is just pounding I can hardly breathe. As it's slows its beat I reach over besides me. Open the nightstand drawer and there it be. I go to the toilet and flush every piece. The syringe I burn as I think thank God for this dream. Each day there after was hard you see. For altho I saved my mother's heart I had messed up so drastically. My kids hated and claim to not even know who i,use to be. Like even before the drugs I failed tremendously but I promised myself to keep living so here I am I just wish eventually.. Theyd forgive me
