Please Just Love Me

Would you mind very much if I loved you?
Would you mind if I came to your home?
I'd like to find a place to rest
so I no longer have to roam

I'm so tired of all this wandering
I'm so tired of being afraid
My bones are aching from the cold
By your fire I'd have it made

I've had little to eat for a week now
What few nibbles I catch on the run
I feel like my days are numbered
I may not see the morning sun

There isn't a lot of room that I need
so I won't take up much of your space
I'd like to join your family
and to finally have a place

Would you allow me to come to your home?
I'd surrender my whole heart to you
I know I'm just a kitty cat
but could you please just love me too?

I've welcomed a few tray cats into my home. At one time my crazy ex-wife had like 8 cats living with us. I don't mind one or two, but after 8 this cat had flew...lol Nice write, Michael
