Please God Just One More Night

Grateful you don't forsake me, God
when too tired to get dressed.
Illness is now overwhelming,
sometimes ... I get depressed.

My attitude's on the down low,
hormones are out of wack.
When seeing doctors, always hide
beneath wig ... or a hat.

Have feelings never felt before,
not sure just what to do.
So glad you are sustaining me,
depend so much ... on you.

Some days wake up and I am shocked,
surprised, I'm feeling strong.
Then suddenly I'm suffering
and wondering ... what's wrong?

Know worrying is unhealthy,
so pretend I'm alright.
But God this evening please stay near,
please God ... just one more night?

Diane Christian Date: 3/26/2024 1:06:00 PM I like this poem, IV been through some stuff and been so tired I work but then go home and stayed in for do long apart from shopping when needed bits and bobs. But finally broke my isolation by going to church psalm Sunday, I always try at Easter. IV had problems with my legs sometimes pain is too much. Also someone broke my trust which didn't help. But a new start. Jesus gave his all for us, he will make us strong Amen Your poem is encouraging because God does sustain us. Login to Reply
