please billy give me another chance


today i receive a note
she wants to call it quits
that silly goat
having another fit

we make cottage cheese
on mountaintop's tree
lying in the breeze
now she wants to flee

sorry babe you're mine
and to have kids
so give it some time
from closing the lid

babe, you are my universe
like we'll work things out
for better or for worse
I promise to you, I change my route

so babe, give me a second chance
a second wind, a third wind
to continue our marital dance
and not let fate do us blind

babe, to sunshine roads we now park
pass the past vices in the dark
... I promise
