Please Baby Won'T You Stay

I listened to the words that baby said,
As she turned her back upon me in the bed.
She said that tomorrow she’d be on her way........
“Please baby won’t you stay?”
 
How could I face my friends and family.
When they hear that you walked out on me.
How could I stand the pain from the things 
they’d have to say...........
‘Please baby won’t you stay”
 
Was life with me so really hard to bear?
Can you look at me and never really care?
Has the happiness we had all passed away?
“Please baby won’t you stay.mj
 
Now I know I’ll go to hell for what I’ve done,
But a life without you wouldn’t be much fun.
In the morning they will find you lying here this way,
But at least this way I'll know that baby stayed.

John Hamilton August 1, 2019 at 9:38 PM I felt a cool country vibe until the gruesome ending, I guess baby stayed! Some guys feel that "if I can't have you no-one can" horrible really, but a good poem nonetheless.
