Playlist Poetry
The sparkling dawn lights up
my heart’s ebony horizon,
spreads the sunburst spectrum of yearning,
swathes the facsimile of your floral face,
measuring “how deep is your love.”
Your voice composes the mesmeric music
with the vibrato of “unchained melody"
in the harmonic cadence of my longing,
fills my forlorn void with the vibrant tunes,
when I realize I “can't help falling in love.”
How complete I become
as I “make you feel my love,”
if only you could know.
Suffused with the diffused drizzle
of my love in the tarnished twilight,
you disappear out of my misty sight
beyond the garden of blooming delight.
Your footsteps trample my emotive flower,
its crumbled petals make a wreath
for my broken heart,
whispering “somebody loves you,”
for whom “you are still the one.”
I collect the shards of my life,
strewn in the craving corridor I cross
with the lattice of love lacing the slices of heart
where the shape-shifting dusty guitar
of my yearning secretly resonates
the tune of my melancholic passion,
intoning “my heart will go on”
blooming my feeling of lingering longing,
On the sighing sea of despair,
made of billion drops of tear,
descends the somber shadow
of the nostalgic night’s slate sky,
split asunder by the cobalt cold flash
of the tormenting thunder,
fading in my wilted memory
in the hazy horizon of oblivion.
where I wish you “cry me a river.”
On the moonlit sapphire sea-shore I walk alone,
longing to have you by my side
“from this moment on.”
I hear the rhythm of the sequined surging sea
pulsate in my enticed heart,
articulating my silent plea, “let's stay together.”
