Playing Tag With Thunder

Lightning flashes so brightly outside; rain's falling fast and furious. Feeling vibrations in my fingers jolts loosen the window pane. Delightful, but frightful, quivers follow. Mummy shudders, shoulders and head; Sissy covers up her ears. I'm deaf, my other senses eagerly expect something after sparks. I wait and faces change. Like a sudden tag game, I see the brilliant flashes. Sissy tags me, "You're IT!" I can guess thunder's timing just before he reaches base.
