playing deaf or plain dumb

the worlds cleverest man once said ~ nothing you fool! he wanted a life 

the dumbest man tried to copy him ~ but he hooked a fishmongers wife 

this story has no moral ~ sometimes silence nets bliss other times strife

I think the inquisition has taken place and answers to questions by many who've wanted to know but dared not ask have been revealed. Guilty, the irrelevant interloper who begged for attention.
