Playing Chess With One Piece

A new form of chess she said.
We are checking your strategies.
You may only choose one piece.
This sounded insane, but it was their tournament.
Okay, I will take the queen I told her. 
My opponent thought he would one up me by taking the king.
I wish him luck winning now since I have no king to take.

I always beat the kids at work if they are super confident. If they are scared, I let them win.
