Playing At the Park
I watched a lot of children play at the park.
They climbed aboard the train.
It wasn't even close to being dark.
The whistle blew
The bell went clang
As the children on the passenger list grew
One little boy shouted "All abroad the R and R Main."
The other children said "They had people, places and
Things to see again."
Where the skies were once blue and clear
Clouds had begun to appear.
Everyone had a fear
That it was going to rain.
Still the train flew.
As it began to get darker the lantern was put out to hang.
Then play time was over everyone felt.
The children no longer wanted to play train.
They took off to play another game.
