Planting Residents

acorns falling
   planting residents
      dormant leaves shaking
         with excitement
roots to grow
   rings to wind
      bark to shine
         at last buds unfurl

Like an ancient Ebenezer
   oaks positioned to be victorious

Those stately trees can send out the acorns with the chance of having progenitive offsprings. It is about time that the wind brings them down at night and it will sound like a gun going off during the night. Sara K

You've divulged nature's secret in your poem. We notice death, but actually life is just wintering over. I like how a single acorn takes center stage. I feel solace.
