Planet Water Our Planet needs a new name. Earth, Rocks and Fire abound in our solar system and elsewhere in the Universe. But our 'Planet Earth' is unique, with fluid water covering three-quarters of its surface. All the life here, as we know it, is based on water, H2O. Without water there is no life. So let our place be renamed as "Planet Water"! The search for life elsewhere begins with the search for water! Plants use solar energy to split the water molecule into H and O2, to make and maintain the oxygen in the atmosphere that we, and all other animals, need to breathe. Thanks be to them! Water is the Hub of Life, the wellspring of what's living! Water is life's mater and matrix, mother and medium. Let our unique place, our home indeed, be "Planet Water".
