Plague

PLAGUE

          Bombs drop overseas.
          Violence spreads like the plague
          killing hopes for Peace.
          What purpose for war
          justifies its destruction?
          I can think of none.
          Peace,Peace,come to us,
          the world one community,
          Diverse,accepting.

I respect the positive message in this piece Sara, but sometimes I wonder if distinct & venerable cultures can endure the paradigmn of global government which may result in a monoculture, ergo extinguighing the further development of unique heritages across this odd planet - I'm sure your heart is in the right place!
