Places I Feel Free

*Blocked There’s a chill in the air Reaching my bones Leaving me feeling all alone I have so much to say But, with so many eyes watching I can’t find a way My heart, it has a lock Only some can find the key Times, I just don’t want to talk So, I hide internally There’s a chill in the air Holding me back Waiting for an open door To overcome what I lack I think of beautiful places to see With views of someone reaching me And with these thoughts I make my way… To places I feel free Heidi Sands 9/10/19

I can relate Heidi, as you already know, in many ways with your lonely lovely poem.

Perhaps the "chill" in the air is caused by loneliness and past experience is making it harder to open "the door" to love again. Heidi, many of us can relate to the feelings expressed so beautifully in your poem. A fave for me! Hugs, Carolyn

Hi Heidi, I can relate to this gem of a write. Sometimes I don't want to talk( I'm not mad nor angry). I just need to regroup and breathe and exhale. Now that I think about it that space is a freeing space. I enjoyed the read. Have a wonderful day;-) Alexis

This makes me think of those cold, grey winters when everything is stilled by tons of ice and snow. Well penned piece.

There is a tinge of sadness in this poem Heidi, the feeling of being all alone wishing for something to help quell the feeling. Hopefully that place you feel free finds you soon.
