Place of Peace

You open your eyes horrified by those dreams, Beautiful morning yet you can hear those screams. You look around but it's all silence, Still inside you feel the violence. It's been forever since you saw the light, Forever since you held anyone tight. Sunlight breaks through the window glass, Darling, you are at home let those feelings pass. You wake-up wondering how do you feel so dead, But you know home is safe as you are reminded by your head. Sipping your tea, looking at the ceiling. Engulfing that bread, finding everything unappealing. And suddenly, after so long you think of this masterpiece, What if you find a place of peace? The idea of peace is soothing, As it gets your body moving. An utter need to find this place, So you want to start this chase. You meet your friends,go to that ice-cream shop, Dive into water, reach to mountain top. Go through heaven to hell for this place. Frustrated, you wonder is there really a place of peace to chase? At the end,you seat underneath that tree to introspect, Your mind wanders again and suspect. You realize if there is deep ocean to drown you, There is always a shore to hold you. I know you feel forever without light, But if there is day there has to be night. So you picture every single memory in that collage, Alas a place of peace is just a mirage, just a mirage.
