Pity Me

Pity me,
For all I have said is wrong,
And a foolish fool I've lived too long.
A fool to believe that all that is said is done.

Pity me,
For I have grown comfortable with abuse.
Even with my darkest shadows cast from you,
I still feel it's me that I cannot let you lose.

Pity me,
For I have been blind.
Searching; feeling, for all of time.
Hoping to find, like me, another gentle mind.

Oh pity me!
But please, I pray you cannot empathize.
I wish for you a much better life
Away from all the fruitless tries, oh pity me for I've been blind.
