Pittsburgh Is For Pitted Love

Pittsburgh is for pitted love Where we keep our hearts on ice Sharp blades cup my breath And my whispers are screams in your ears We’ve never met but in our dreams And in Boston, we were so close Left to find each other under bright, white lights But we never did And so I returned to my dark, lonely room To look at your picture Hoping to breathe life into the lifeless But failing miserable to animate your two-dimensional existence If this is the only way I ever know you I’m glad I know you at all
