Pistachio

Some girl named me 'Pistachio'
where she walked beside the sea.
What she's called, I'll never know,
but she seemed quite sweet to me.

Her brother caught me on a sandal,
and lifted me from ocean spray,
wondered if I could e'er handle
the trials to come my way.

Two know me as 'Pistachio',
but would I catch their eye
if they saw me next tomorrow
while I flew throughout the sky?

For my sister, who kept me company by the ocean on my birthday and named a little bird "Pistachio"
