Pink Stationery

You no longer write in the old-fashioned way
with ink, paper, envelopes and fancy stamps,
well neither do I.

We've learned to navigate the world wide web
and become familiar with internet mail,
and figured out all the new fandangled nomenclature.

The post office is now a mythical place
where only a philatelist cares to wander,
or the daring one in search of adventure.

But lately I do miss your familiar scrawl
on pink stationery perfumed like you,
and sealed with that special kiss.

Old fashioned stuff works for me. I like the handwritten letters. Yet, here we are. Thanks for a poem on a personal option of communication.
