Pink and Grey Galahs

I see a pair of Pink and Greys
They fly on by my way
They seem to be so filled with health
To me they do have so much wealth

They're so majestic in the sky
As I see them flying by
And when they land upon a branch
It really puts me in a trance

Trays of seed I have for them
On which upon they land
Such a lovely sight to see
I could almost feed them from my hand

I love to see them feeding there
As the seed these two birds share

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts on galahs through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

G'day Vera... oh yes, galahs. If you want more of them; plant an almond tree. I don't think we appeciate the galah as visitors do. They see the soft pink and gray as unusual and beautiful whereas we have grown up with them... the galah is truly a beaut cockatoo and I can tell that you do appreciate them with your sonnet. Thanks Vera-Lindsay

Well done with this exquisite write, Vera! You have the same love for nature and its inhabitants that Peter has. Bird watching can be so satisfying...pity that some hunters/trappers are indiscriminate in what they go after. Have a lovely weekend. // paul
