Pinecone fallen from the trees Tell me something if you please From where you hung up in the air Have you seen a woman fair? I'm looking for her far and wide To tell her I'll be by her side And that my love does not depend On anything she'd say or send Regardless still in silent thought My heart belongs to her, it's bought And not by anything she did But just because of who she is Way up high from where you sat Did you notice where she's at? On your pods a bluebird sits Was that her whom on you alit? If she landed on your cone You would know since she alone Can cause a seed of love to sprout It has in me without a doubt Now if she does come back again Who knows if, who knows when But if indeed her you do see Ask her if she'll wait for me
