Pilgrim's Gift

And so, we have this day on Thursday
That Pilgrims gave us to review:
Our good and bad, if grudge still holding.
If we got wiser or want to sue.
.
As we all know, event was simple -
Harsh winter, hunger, no food.
But in the middle of disaster
Few birds were sent. Hence - gratitude.
.
It's not the Turkey. It's not the hunger.
It's not a simple hunting luck.
It's what brings families and friends,
To get together, to kiss and hug.
.
This holiday is kept for reasons.
To keep our ego on a leash.
To feel our thanks by helping needy.
And thank, so our souls have peace.
.
Our lifes keep grinding deep and harder.
Our values - seemingly dissolved.
But days like this keep hearts feel warmer,
Feel loved and keep this world revolved.
