Pilgrimages
Whenever dreams became delayed, deferred,
By Fortune's errors made dismayed or changed,
With passport booked, intents advanced, transferred,
To wander off desires entranced or ranged.
I journeyed when travails I found oppressed in,
To Athens, London, or Los Angeles;
But to Atlantis, Camelot, and Bespin,
I daily travel when lost lands I miss.
To wonder on with wishes sure and charming,
With books as portals, goals secure, uncaring,
Admiring Fate veracious and disarming,
Always enjoying joys audacious, daring.
I'd an admiréd wanderlust preferred,
I've a preferring wonderlove unerring.
