Pieces of You

even though 
     you've slipped away, 
          stranger,
               you're not quite gone, 
                    for I hold pieces 
                         of you in 
                               my mind 

you're tough to 
     forget 
          could it be 
                your kindness? 
                     great sense of humor?
                          or because you brightened 
                                up...

my rather dark day?
