Pie

My oh my I want some pie
Need some now or I will die
Why do you elude me pie?
As I let out a loud sigh

Does anything on you taste good?
Or are you a pie from the hood?
I did read the little engine that could
And it was really, really good

I finally realized what to buy
And it definitely isn’t a pie
It's something easy to make
And it isn’t a cake

I made it with this guy named Jake
And his kind of fake
But ultimately Jake was kind
And had a good mind

That thing that was easy to make
Turned out to be baked
For it wasn’t cheesecake, cake, or pie
It wasn’t too soft or too hard
But it was the chicken I found in my backyard
