I love you to the moon and back Stuck in lover's purgatory A picture of a thousand kisses Kept inside thy wallet Or on a mantle piece In broken frame Underneath a waxing moon Where werewolves howl And the tides come in and out That star crossed lover's never notice Because they are so engrossed Caught up in the rapture Of the here and now Front and centre of the picture 16 January 2020 For Branda Chiri Picture Prompt Poetry Contest
