Picture of Innocence
That one brown tuff of hair sticking up
gray eyes not yet turned
Begging for knowledge not yet learned
The forehead and thick eyebrows are her fathers
As much as her round face and crooked pinky toe is surely her mother's
A double chin that holds any spilled food in
And the rolls on those chubby legs
Funny how genetics are passed from nearest kin
That smile can light up a room
Such beauty in watching a child bloom
*NOTE: For my little niece. Love her to death I had to write something about her. :)
