Picking Up the Penny
Legends were lost in ideals built
around coinage, you could be rich
they would say, one penny at a time.
But what is money, was it a game
you play, like monopoly, was
it your life
First starting poor and then one
penny you would bend down and pick
it up, knowing it was not worth much,
thinking as you were told, it is the point,
the entire unifying principle regarding
some elliptical centered around distribution
of goods, and what kinds of goods,
and should the goods float down rivers
by boat, or across lands, in some unfettered
way so that all could eat
So that if they could eat, they would
then think, beyond themselves,
since pennies mass collected amount
to so much over time their
worth must then dimminsh
Or do you just keep it going...
Peace!
