Picket Fence

I wander by the white picket fence
I wonder, what if I met you sooner
Would we have fallen in love in those years?
Filled with energetic times of joy?
Would we have been too young to understand?
What it takes to make it true?
A bond that lasts forever, sacrifice at best
I know my heart has not grown older
With all the feelings I have today
It beats along with my loving dreams
I am still who I am, through all this time
Along the picket fence, I wander
With my thoughts of reflection too
When this fence comes to an end
My dreams will carry beyond the bend

I have wondered many times by the white picket fence looking for someone I knew back then...No luck up to now...and I share that my heart has not grown one day older though I would like to pretend...Enjoyed it...
