Sometime between eight and ten I wrote “I hate piano!” in my exercise book and that was the end of lessons. No great loss to music, but when I chill to Jarret’s Koln Concert or as icicles run down my back listening to the soloist play Bethoven’s Emperor Concerto, I wish I hadn’t done that because it wasn’t, isn’t true.

Ahh!! I wish you hadn't hated piano and went on with your musical lessons. I think being able to play an instrument adds so much to a person's life. Thanks for dropping by my page. Sara..I know for children that practicing on an instrument is really hard and boring and it doesn't seem like any progress is being made but the end results is wonderful.

Thanks Sara, I agree and am thinking I'll go back to the piano and even take lessons again once covid protocols are opened to allow that.
