Pianist Extraordinaire

Dedicated to my MOM ~~~ PIANIST EXTRAORDINAIRE
                                 ~~~~~~~~
                                 ~~~~~~~~
             Professional hands swiftly skimming cross keys
             Each finger with intent to strike right note
             Thus creates most beautiful melodies
             Sheer talent though she does not boast or gloat
                                 ~~~~~~~~
             Same lightening speed now as in years past
             Older fingers still swift and so sure
             Sacred memories will eternally last
             Of songs so sweet and so pure
                              ~~~~~~~~
             Talent unsurpassed by anyone around
             The years of time and dedication
             To create the sweetest notes and sounds
             Born from sheer will and determination
                             ~~~~~~~~                  
              Excitement now exudes and begins
              For newly refurbished piano
              To tickle refreshed ivories again
              Piano whose time had been cruel
                           ~~~~~~~~
              From memory not print on page
              The experts' glorious, gifted plays
              Tunes for THE ONE who gave assuage
              Whose HEART was captured with no delay
                           ~~~~~~~~
              New and improved bass and treble sounds
              Songs may seem unknown or old fashioned 
              But to me, cause my heart leaps and bounds
              Played with incredible love and passion !!!

My Mom is 85 and plays one song after the other, especially the ones when she was in her 20's as a member of a square dance band, all from memory and many more.
